What is trash art? Typically they’re Acrylic paintings I do on bits of reclaimed cardboard. When they’re finished I hang them up around town, free to anyone who is willing to grab them. The city I live in (Kunming China) is perfect for this kind of thing, there are trees everywhere, random nails sticking out of every wall.       (Some art on sale here)

Sometimes I drop them off in really cool locations

<-----

(i.e. right by the Dalai Lama’s winter palace)

other times I just put them up around town. As you can see, the baby I have with me is pretty into it

As well as hanging them on the street I sometimes sell them for less than a buck (and a picture), a way of giving them away that insures they go to a good home. So how can I afford to give my art away for free or almost free? I can’t really. That’s where you come in. What do you give the person that already has everything? You could give them the gift of art. Or even more unique you could sponsor some trash art in their honor! How much does it cost what do you get? Well, it only costs $7. You get the good feeling of being a benefactor to the arts. AND you get a one-of-a-kind signed copy of the Trash Art you pick out. Also you’ll be emailed a picture of your trash art released onto the streets of Kunming (or in the hands of someone who got it almost free) But wait there’s more. The first 25 people to support the arts in this way will be entered into a drawing to win a free painting from ClohnArt.com! “Great” you say “where do I sign up?” I accept PayPal, so all you need to do is write down the name of the Trash art you want below, go through the PayPal check out and you’re on you’re way. Hope to hear from you soon. And remember the first 25 will be entered to win a free painting. Pretty cool.
